Doggy Day Care
Meet & Greet
Meet and greets are an opportunity for us to get to know more about your pooch and for you to know more about us. In this meet and greet, we will go over what happens during doggy day care and allow us to see if your dog will be suitable and if you also think they are suitable.
Once established your furry friend is appropriate for day care, we will book a date for their first day care session. During this, a Hylton buddy will carry out an assessment to determine how well they play, and behave with other dogs and in the chalets, as well as how they deal with us handling them. During this session, we will use different groups of dogs to determine the best play type and dogs to put your poochie with.
Upon passing this assessment, they will be rewarded with a pawsport, which we fill in every day care session so you can see what your dogs get up to into the day.

Understanding Your Dog
We have lots of experience with all breeds and sizes of dog as we have been boarding our best friends since 1983.
We understand dog language and that every dog is different. This helps us to discover your dog’s stimulus and anxieties. And we will tailor the daycare experience to make them more comfortable.
If your dog is shy around other dog’s we will introduce them slowly to calm dogs with a dedicated buddy. To help them become more confident and comfortable.

Facility
At the Hylton with have made every effort possible to make dogs experience a great one. We Have a purpose-built play area with a dog friendly climbing frames, ponds, trampolines, giant gravel pit, sand pits, ball and bubble machines and much more.
Each dog will have their own private Kennel which has been built to meet all regulatory standards and is sanitized every day. These areas are used when your dog needs to rest and eat. Or if we notice the environment is getting overwhelming or stimulating for your dog. These kennels have direct access to the play centre.
The way we have designed our play centre means all breeds big and small, calm or crazy can play safely. We are also proud of the fact that we have lots of space for dogs to play and explore this means lots of off the lead fun which is good for their physical and mental health.

Doggy Day Boarding
Doggy Day Boarding is an alternative to Doggy Day Care whereby dogs who may prefer a larger area to play can still get their much needed physical and mental stimulation. Using our secure big field, your furry friend has the opportunity to have lots of off-lead fun, playing, exploring and running around with other dogs. We also offer solo sessions of day boarding for our friends who prefer the company of humans over dogs where one of our staff buddies can go out onto the field with them.
All day boarders are out at least twice a day with the opportunity to rest in between sessions. We also provide additional group or solo exercise starting from £3 per day which ensures your furry friend will get another 15 minutes out on the field.
Pick up and drop off times remain the same for day care and day boarding customers. Please do not hesitate to contact us for more information.
Important Information
For day care, male dogs must be neutered over the age of 1 (maximum 18 months for dogs who have been with us from a young age and we do not notice a difference in their temperament). If you are not planning to get your dog neutered or their vets have advised to wait until they are older, they can be moved to day boarding.
We shut to customers at 6:00pm so, every 10 minutes after we have to wait for someone to collect their pooch, a £5 charge is added to the bill. Please try to inform us if you think you will be running late! A family member or friend is always welcome to collect for you with permission.
Day care customers are welcome to have daily sessions during an overnight stay (£6.50 per day on top of standard twice a day). This does not need to be booked in advance and is subject to availability. Due to charging per night, we ask you to drop off in line with our overnight boarding times and conditions.
Day care has a strike system to keep your furry friends safe and regulated. The amount of times they come to daycare per week/month is taken into account when issuing strikes as it is okay for your dog to not like every dog they meet. If it is a regular issue, we will pin point the reasons for the unwanted behaviour your dog is displaying and take further action in finding a better alternative for them.
We ask you to bring yearly updated versions of your dog’s booster vaccinations so we are able to update them on our system.
